Dr Christine Mellor

DHSc, MHSc (MIDWIFERY) WITH FIRST CLASS HONOURS, RM, RGN

CERTIFIED HAVENING PRACTITIONER

Christine has extensive experience within midwifery and women's health and has a special interest in mental health and wellbeing. Whilst working and researching in midwifery she became increasingly aware of the centrality of the mind during the childbirth continuum, and the significance of the mind-body connection. She also became increasingly concerned about the ripple effects of people not being able to access services to meet their psycho-social needs. These insights left her questioning, and she became curious about how things could be done differently and what was needed; on this journey she discovered Havening.

Their search for science-based solutions led Christine and Dee to Havening Techniques. They connected with a previous colleague, anaesthetic specialist and Havening trainer, Dr Robin Youngson, to undertake their training.

Dee Dawson

GRADDIP PSYCHOTHERAPY STUDIES

BHSc (MIDWIFERY)

CERTIFIED HAVENING PRACTITIONER

Dee’s long career in midwifery led her to an exploration, hoping to uncover new ways to support people to find peace following challenging experiences, both in childbirth and in life. Following time spent in both mentoring and coaching roles, she also had a special interest in finding ways to support other health professionals. She has a passion for understanding of the neuroplasticity of the brain and the ever-evolving research around how the brain and body are connected.
